Moisture Multi-Sensor Cable SLM3000

For better storage quality and safety

Measuring the moisture content in your stored grain is important for different reasons. First of all, the temperature is not the same all over your silo or bulk storage facility. The temperature is different on the metal sides since this is where condensation can happen and this will increase the moisture content of your crops. Your stored grain shouldn’t be too wet, but also not too dry otherwise weight can be lost.

We suggest you combine our moisture cables with our weather station: this will keep the moisture level of your crops at a fixed level, avoiding the grain being too wet or too dry. Moreover, with the newest update, our AgroLog Manager software now supports also Equilibrium Moisture Content (EMC) computation for all types of grain.

AgroLog Moisture Sensor Cable is certified under ATEX category 1, the highest level of ignition protection. Its intrinsic safety limits potential ignition energy and is suitable for zone 20. Additionally, it is capable of withstanding a maximum surface temperature of 150°C.

The key functions and benefits are

  • Real-time High-quality Moisture and Temperature measurement

  • Customized length up to 30 m

  • Durable antistatic construction

  • Simple and easy installation

  • Avoid shrinkage and start aeration only when needed

  • Calibration available for all common types of grain

  • ATEX approved for zone 20/21/22

Placing the Sensor Cable inside the silo

We recommend placing the Sensor Lines in a pattern as shown by the blue dots in the figure on the right.

A well-placed grid of sensors along with frequent logging and tracking are the most important elements of a complete silo-monitoring programme.

AgroLog Manager Software

Our AgroLog Manager software will process all information collected by the sensors and display them using a friendly and intuitive UI. Through our software, you will know about the smallest change in your storage facility and you will be informed about any critical issue to react immediately and avoid any damages to your stored crops.

How the software works

  1. Access the system anytime and anywhere using PC, smartphone or tablet etc.

  2. Increase safety. With one system you can control multiple sites from anywhere in the world

  3. Centralised system. Achieves high security and protection of data while being easy to manage and maintain

  4. Use the automated reports. Save work time by letting the software generate valuable insights for you

  5. No software, backup or server maintenance as we handle this for you. We guarantee the safety of your data

Moisture Monitoring

  • Gain a complete understanding of your grain storage with a 3D representation of each bin or silo. This intuitive view allows you to pinpoint the exact location of every moisture sensor within your facility.

  • Color-coded moisture readings provide instant insight into the current state of your grain. Quickly identify areas with potential issues based on the intuitive color scheme.

  • Pre-defined alarm thresholds automatically trigger alerts when moisture exceed safe limits. This allows for prompt intervention and helps prevent grain spoilage.

  • Maintain grain quality by staying ahead of moisture fluctuations, you can take proactive measures to preserve grain quality and minimize spoilage risks.

  • Early detection of moisture spikes allows for quick intervention, potentially saving you significant financial losses.
